Are you someone who sticks to your desk at work place from 9 to 5? (Ugh… may be 9 to 7☹)
And you constantly suffer from a backache?
Well, I know this problem and see most of my friends suffering from a backache lack of no physical activity at work. Sadly, we give our health a last priority which should actually be the first in the list.
Here we go, some simple tricks to burn calories at work there by giving some physical activity to your body which is the main reason for such back aches to weight gains.
Loose calories at work with below easy fat burning tips :
1)Stair case is your new gym
Stair climbing is a ‘vigorous exercise’ and burns more calories per minute than jogging. Ideally, you burn about 0.17 calories for every step you climb, so you burn roughly a calorie for every 10 upward steps. Isn’t this cool?
From now on, say a BIG no to ‘lift’ and use stair case instead whenever possible.
2)Toning Exercises to burn calories
Try the below toning exercise under your desk.
Stay seated with your feet on the floor and back straight. Extend your right leg until it’s level with your hip, slowly lower.
Repeat 10-15 times. Switch legs. You’ll feel the burn of calories in your quadriceps.
3)Drink Plenty of Water
The Institute of Medicine has determined that the daily adequate intake of water for men is 3 litres and for women, it is 2.2 litres.
If you don’t take enough water, liver ends up doing the work of the kidneys and can’t do its primary work of metabolism. On top of this, the brain often mistakes thirst for hunger and you end up eating.
So, have a timer set and sip water for every 1 hour.
4)Plan and Pack your Lunch
Think and you know how many calories are in that fast-food meal you grabbed during your lunch hour? It simply adds up to your weight gain if you grab lunch daily at the office.
Instead, spend part of your weekend meal-prepping for the week ahead. By getting your lunch box, we don’t get tempted to grab a pizza, burger or fast food for lunch.
5)Stand and Walk little
You presume to walk a lot at work, but very rarely is anyone walking through their office for more than 20 seconds.
Try timing yourself the first couple of times you walk for one minute (so that it’s a two-minute round-trip back to your desk) to develop a couple options for your “walking routes”. A quick help to burn calories like anything.
Here’s why it’s worth a try: A recent study in the Clinical Journal of the American Society of Nephrology found that a two-minute walk every hour can offset the effects of too much sitting, one of the habits that Make You Sick and Fat.
