Most of us get amazed looking at some of our friends who look gorgeous in photos. It is not because they look really gorgeous but because they know how to pose and look at the camera.
In this social networking obsessed world, knowing how to be Photogenic is most important. Some people just look good effortlessly in pictures whom we call as photogenic while others don’t.
For everyone out there who is in the others list, We want to tell you that keeping few below things in mind while taking a picture of you next time would definitely make you look better in the pictures than ever before.
Let’s dive into useful tips to look photogenic:
#1) Know your “Right” angle
Although researchers suggest that you can get better pictures when you pose slightly to your left, it might not be the same to everyone.
You can take your pictures in different angles and first understood which angle best suits you and gets you covered beautifully.
Try to have 50% of your snaps in your “Right” angle and spend few snaps on other angles to find few better angles of yours?
#2) Avoid looking straight to the camera
Tilt your face slightly down or to sideward while you face at the camera. This helps your face to look slimmer and create natural highlights and more depth to your facial features.
#3) No Standing closer to camera in group pictures
When you take group shots make sure you are not closer to the camera because it makes you look larger. Try to stand in or around the centre of the group
#4) Prefer lower angle for full-length shots.
For full-length pictures, ask your photographer to Capture it from a lower angle will help you in looking slimmer and taller in pictures.
#5) Prefer higher angle for sitting postures
While you sit and pose, ask your photographer to capture it from a slightly higher angle. All you have to do is to slightly tilt your face to meet the camera.
#6) Avoid blinking of eyes
To avoid blinking of eyes, close and open your eyes just before the camera click.
#7) Lean towards the camera
Things that are closer are larger while things that are far are smaller. To create a small and sleek body, lean slightly with your head first towards the camera and pose.
#8) Understand Your Weakness
All of us have few weaknesses that spoil our pictures. For Example, small eyes spoil my pictures (So I prefer side angles or sunglasses during daytime).
Likewise, look at your pictures and understand your weakness and get over it with few of changes in the way you look at the camera.
